Up to the Shin in Egin

As the old saying goes, A lake is a wonderful place for a couple. Nestled between the sand dunes and the potato fields of the west lies Egin lake. Warm, shallow, and crustacean infested, this lake is a must see for all people who like good things. Alastair and Laleinia went for a mid-week afternoon of fun, relaxation and games, as they trotted around in the shallow waters playing frisbee and other college freshman type games.

What's cooler than being cool? ICE COLD!

Where to go? What to do? Tight schedule, got to be back by seven so we can see Mexico demolish the United States in the Gold Cup Final! Well there is only one thing for it, ICE CAVES! Hop in Burberry, lets go. Ole. After the sand dunes you will approach a cattle grid. Cross it. Take a right at the second cattle grid. Stay on the dirt road for 15-25 minutes. The budding spelunkers, Alastair and Laleinia, toured deeper and deeper into the unknown, in search of the infamous ice slide, which was known to provide sufficient entertainment to all who could navigate through the treacherous trail. Don't be fooled by Alastair's brave smile, this deadly trek was not all fun and games. Alastair with the world's biggest diamond. After slipping through the Earth's crus

We got photos of the perfect pair, enjoying an afternoon at the Rexburg Nature Park. Alastair was flexing his fishing muscles, while Laleinia read a gripping novel about the Holocaust. Please don't all bite at once.

Fly a Kite? Not Quite.

This is what happens when you buy 50 cent Kites in Rexburg, and try to fly them on a windy day. Alastair and Laleinia flying Kites in Rexburg.

Camp in the Damp

Marriage. Craziness. Spontaneity.  Slightly after midnight, a camping trip was decided. Only milliseconds after the "Pokeball" was in position, we came under attack from the forces of nature. Unfortunately, the water could not be resisted in it's entirety, but we soldiered on. This is what the inside of a Pokeball looks like. The next morning, the traveling two surveyed the damage from afar due to the burst banks of the Snake River. A tree floated by, signaling the end of the adventure. The river was too strong.
