Love's Maiden Voyage: Carmel

What do you do if you get married in Oakland, CA on Saturday, and have class in Rexburg, ID on Tuesday? You do exactly as we did. Off to Carmel and Monterrey we went! On the way to Carmel, we paused at the Casa de Fruta for a light lunch. There you will find Peacocks roaming the vicinity, little shops with tasty treats, and old farm equipment alongside of the railroad track. Also notable is the Chevron petrol station found kitty-corner to Casa de Fruta. Back on the road we went, and eventually we arrived in Carmel. The first landmark that we took a shine to was an old English telephone box. We squeezed inside (not too hard) and got a photograph. We were 12 people shy of the world record, which currently stands at 14 people. We preferred it just being the two of us! Hello? A stones throw away from said phone box lies Carmel-by-the-Sea. Introduction to Burberry's Travels

There isn’t much that you can take from this life. Money will not go with you, neither will fast cars, boats or nice houses. Don’t misunderstand, those things would be really nice, but one thing that we are certain that will remain with us are memories, even if old age diminishes them for a while. One of our life goals is to travel. A lot. Short trips, long trips, spontaneous trips and planned trips. Another goal of ours is to make everyone jealous of the amazing life that we will have. To achieve both of these goals, we are using this blog to document the wonderful adventures that we enjoy, and let you readers see what we are up to so that you can reflect on how cool we are, and how great our life is! We are calling this blog “Burberry’s Travels” because we recently bought a Land Rover which we affectionately named “Burberry,” since it is an English car, and since Lain recently got some wonderfully smelling Burberry perfume. An uncanny resemblance.
