Time In Thailand

We started and ended our adventures in Bangkok, Thailand. The first day we arrived, we only managed to step out for dinner. It took a while to finally negotiate a price for a tuk tuk, and one driver ended up dropping us off at a super random spot. It was frustrating but Emre loved riding in them! We ended up getting caught in a downpour and we just gave up and went to a McDonald's. That was our first night, so it could only go up from there.

Our final stay consisted of relaxing in our hotel, eating by the river, and venturing out a bit.  It was so hot and humid and there were many rain storms. Possibly, the biggest thunderstorm I have ever seen! It was one afternoon, we were in our room, and we watched outside the window. So much lightning and thunder, there weren't many breaks in between! I saw a lightning bolt strike the water, between two boats. It was crazy! After the storm, lots of plants were floating in the river.

In between the storms, we managed to venture out and find some temples to admire. They were pretty immaculate, especially the giant resting Buddha. This Buddha was massive!
Emre loved all the cats that were on the temple grounds. He was brave enough to even pet them. He's definitely a cat person!

Our time in Bangkok was short, but it seemed like it lasted forever. Not my favorite place, but I think that also had to do with wanting to go home!

Overall, a great trip! So glad we were able to finally get to Southeast Asia, especially Cambodia! We all had a great time! A crazy trip with so many memories.
