Lately, I've been enjoying the small town vibes. Holland, Michigan has it going on! Labor Day weekend, we spent some time at the beach. Michiganders are all about their beaches, which I didn't take them too seriously until we played around Lake Michigan. There were actually waves, white sand, and water as far as the eye can see! If you haven't seen the ocean, you would feel like you're there!
Emre loved playing with the sand. This time he didn't try to put it in his mouth, he would take the sand towards him. I love observing Emre as he discovers the world around him; one of the joys of being a mom!
We spent the evening downtown, eating at an Irish restaurant. While waiting for our table, we strolled around and window shopped. While eating dinner, we enjoyed some live music and Emre drank water from our straws. By the time we were finished, it was pretty dark, so we bought some fudge and strolled by an old college. I love those history plaques, I always read them! Holland was fun, we'll definitely go back!
