Hopefully one of the best purchases of the semester was the Starving Student card, basically a huge fold out coupon with deals from almost all of the decent businesses in Rexburg and the surrounding area. We decided to buy one and see how much money we would save after to the $25 that we "invested" in buying it. (Of course we know that perhaps by having the card we might be persuaded to eat out more than we would otherwise, but it is a decent experiment anyway.)
Well, so far we have got a free dominos pizza and a free burger from Sammy's. So, here are the numbers... (Price of Pizza + Price of Burger) - Price of Card = Savings
(6.00 + 5.29) - 25.00 = - $13.71
So as of right now, buying the card has lost us money, but the more we use it, the more we will benefit from it, and eventually it will be saving us money (or so we hope!).
Anyway, we decided to wear the same clothes to go and eat at Sammy's. Blue hoodies, black sweatpants and Timberlands. We thought it would be funny, but as soon as we stepped into Sammy's we realized that we looked foolish! Evidence is below!
On an interesting note, Sammy's was the location of our first unofficial "date." We came here for Pie shakes the night that we officially met.
